Matt Garrett CEO and Founder
Matt is a HAAG certified Roof inspector (#201209206) and a licensed General Contractor. He has served customers in the Construction and Property Management industry for more than two decades. Matt graduated from East Tennessee State University and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He built Garrett Construction around three core principles:

– If something goes wrong, make it right

Leigh Ann Garrett Director of Sales and Marketing
Leigh Ann is Director of Sales and Marketing and Matt’s wife of 20 years. She joined the Garrett Construction Team in 2010. A native of Clinton, Tennessee, Leigh Ann graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Before joining Garrett Construction, she spent most of her career working in the senior care Industry, serving as Director of Sales and Marketing for Kindred Healthcare’s East Tennessee District, Administrator of Atria Weston Place Assisted Living and Regional Director of Operations for Camellia Home Health.
“The greatest parallel and reward throughout all my career is helping people,” she said. “It is an honor and a privilege to work with Matt and our stellar team to help people with their construction needs.”
Nathan Kluemper Senior Project Manager
Nathan Kluemper has nearly 20 years of construction experience with an extensive background in industrial, commercial, residential and insurance restoration construction. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration on structural engineering and construction management. Nathan is married with three daughters. The family moved to East Tennessee from Indiana in 2006. Nathan is a member of NorthStar Church and believes in applying a “Genuine Concern for Others” and to all projects. Nathan enjoys taking a project from the start and seeing it all the way through completion. He also enjoys watching his daughters play soccer as well as watching college and professional sports.
Sonia Baumann Business Office Manager
Sonia joined the Garrett Construction team in 2011. She holds a degree in accounting from University of Memphis. Her experience includes 15 years working in the accounting and tax departments for Federal Express. Sonia is married and the mother of three amazing teenagers. Her family moved to Knoxville in 2003, and she calls it “one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.” The Baumanns are members of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. Sonia loves all types of sports and is an avid Volunteer fan.
Gary Allen Project Manager
Gary Allen is a project manager with Garrett Construction and oversees construction projects from start to finish. He joined the company in 2012 in marketing and sales. His background includes small business ownership which encompasses much of the work he performs for clients today. Gary enjoys getting to know his clients and seeing each job through to a successful completion. He resides in West Knoxville with his wife of 20 years and two teenage children.
Ken Rochelle Project Manager
An experienced insurance restoration professional, Ken Rochelle has lived in East Tennessee most of his life. He is a graduate of Maryville High School and the University of Tennessee. He has lived in the Rocky Hill area of West Knoxville for the past 30 years with his wife and two daughters. Ken spent a decade in the insurance restoration business, served five years as a property adjuster and 11 years as vice president of a local stone/masonry company in the Knoxville area. He is a choir member at Middlebrook Pike United Methodist Church and enjoys playing golf and reading.
Zoey Garrett Watchdog/Greeter
Zoey has been a valued member of the Garrett Construction Team for five years. She is an official greeter and watchdog.
Zander Garrett Watchdog/Greeter
Zander is the newest watchdog for Garrett Construction and Roofing, and shares greeter responsibilities with Zoey. He is also a Certified HABIT (Human Animal Bond In Tennessee) volunteer and makes weekly visits to a safe house for young women who have been victims of Human Trafficking.
